Hi, everyone!
Welcome to my website! My website designer, Kim Jackson,
has done a great job making my website easy for you to
navigate.
At the top of this page, there is a recent quilt. Below
that quilt, there are topics in blue.
Do you want to order an autographed copy of my last
book,
Sweet Treats?
Click above on "Order New Book."
Would you like to see my newest quilts,
Small Bites?
Click on "Fresh out of the Oven!: Small Bites Quilts."
If you would like to see the quilts in
Sweet Treats,
or get supply lists and cutting instructions if you are
enrolled in one of my workshops, click on "Sweet Treats:
Quilts and Supply Lists."
If you would like to see the quilts in my next book,
Patchwork Party,
or get supply lists and cutting instructions for one of
my workshops, click on "Patchwork Party: Even more
quilts and desserts".
And by the way, my next book,
Patchwork Party,
will be out this summer, probably July or August. It is
published by C&T Publishing. More quilts, more desserts,
lots more color, too!

This home page just wouldn't be complete without a
little something extra, so here are some sewing tips. I
think they will make you laugh. They are from a Singer
Sewing Machine Manual from 1949. After you read this,
you will know what I mean when I say "We've come a long
way, Baby!" |
|
Prepare yourself mentally for sewing. Think about what
you are going to do. Never approach sewing with a sign
or lackadaisically. Good results are difficult when
indifference predominates. Never try to sew with a sink
full of dirty dishes or beds unmade. Then there are
urgent housekeeping chores. Do these first so your mind
is free to enjoy your sewing. |
|
 |
|
When
you sew, make yourself as attractive as possible. Put on
a clean dress. Have your hair in order, powder and
lipstick put on. If you are constantly fearful that a
visitor will drop in or your husband will come home and
you will not look neatly put together, you will not
enjoy your sewing as you should. |
|
|
|
Thank you for visiting my website! And happy stitching
to you all, especially now that your dishes are done,
your beds are made, you have a clean dress on, and your
hair and lipstick look great! |
