CUTTING
Choose which basket you want
to make. The following are instructions for the basket with the
braided handle. Instructions for the pieced basket and the appliqued
basket are at the end of the pattern.
Or you can include any
pieced or appliqued block you want to make for the center medallion
of your quilt. The block needs to finish 8" x 8" or 9" x 9". If you
make an 8" block, you will need to add a black frame so it measure
9" x 9" finished (9½" x 9½" unfinished). If you make a 9" finished
block (9½" x 9½" unfinished), you will not be adding a frame (and
you won't need to purchase and cut solid black fabric).
